A Message from Mayor Santos

Mayor Santos

Information and directives regarding COVID-19 change daily and the effects are impacting the lives of every Californian.

While these may be turbulent times, the City Council, City Manager and the staff at the City of Beaumont want our residents to know that, while many things are different, we are still working hard to provide service to our community. We have closed all of our facilities to the public in order to provide a safe environment while maintaining basic services throughout the crisis. First responders are fully staffed, protecting our community and responding to calls for emergency service.

Other services may be impacted or scaled back for now, but be assured, we will do all we can to continue to provide customer services, while protecting the health and safety of our residents, visitors and employees and doing our part to help slow the spread of the coronavirus.

To keep our community informed, we have added a COVID-19 informational web page available at BeaumontCA.gov/coronavirus which highlights information on the new “Stay at Home” Order, City facilities, utility service, public service announcements, and business resources. You can also get updated information on the City’s social media platforms – Facebook, Instragram, Twitter and Nextdoor.

The City is encouraging residents to educate themselves about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), including how to protect themselves and their families, by reviewing resources available at:

If we all work together, we can slow the spread of the virus. If you are sick, stay home and contact your doctor. Additionally, we ask that you please consider carefully your actual need for food and sanitation supplies. Purchase only the amount you would reasonably expect to use; panic buying, hoarding and similar behaviors impact your fellow residents and complicate the current situation for others.

Beaumont is a strong and cohesive community. I am confident that we will continue to show kindness to our fellow residents, remain calm and support our local businesses as we navigate these unprecedented times because we are all in it together.
