Committees & Commissions

The City of Beaumont has a number of advisory boards, commissions and committees, which are comprised of volunteers from within the community. Generally, these groups make recommendations to the City Council regarding actions and policies affecting municipal government, City departments and the community. 

Qualifications vary depending on position. Generally, it is required that applicants be at least 18 years of age and a resident of Beaumont. Notice of vacancy and applications will be posted online when available. 

Current Vacancies

The City of Beaumont is seeking to fill vacancies on the Economic Development Committee and Finance & Audit Committee.

Economic Development Committee: Seeking applications to fill one (1) vacancy for a partial-year term expiring January 2021 for the following position: 

  • Beaumont Business Community Member

The Committee meets regularly on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. to discuss growth and balance of the economic development.

Finance & Audit Committee: Seeking applications to fill one (1) vacancy for a term of two (2) years expiring January 2022 for the following position:

  • Resident/Business Owner Member

The Committee meets regularly on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. to review financial reports and be the oversight of finance related items as directed by Council.

Applications are available online at BeaumontCa.gov and the positions will remain open until filled. The Beaumont City Council will conduct a review of applicants at a future City Council meeting when a sufficient number of applications have been received.
