[ARCHIVED] Public Health Officer Orders Regarding COVID-19

coronavirus

On Wednesday, March 12, 2020, Riverside County Public Health Officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser issued an order cancelling public gatherings of 250 people or more in Riverside County to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Enhanced restrictions are being adopted at the recommendation of health officials to protect those who are at higher risk to this virus.  In response to the order the City of Beaumont and Beaumont Police Department will be adhering to the order and requiring that any planned city or community events be cancelled or postponed until at least April 30th, 2020. For further information on these mandates or COVID-19 visit https://www.rivcoph.org/coronavirus.

Additionally, in response to this mandate, as well as to safeguard members of the public against the spread of COVID-19, some City services will be limited to the public. City Hall will remain open, but if you are ill or are experiencing any symptoms of illness, we would ask that you contact the City by phone at 951-769-8520 to determine if assistance can be provided to you over the phone.

If you need police assistance and are ill or experiencing symptoms avoid physically visiting the police department and contact us by phone at 951-769-8500 or if an emergency dial 911. Be sure to inform the dispatcher of any symptoms you are experiencing, so that proper precautions can be made when providing assistance.

Police Department Livescan services will be suspended until further notice and additional services may be interrupted on an as-needed basis as it relates to public health and safety. We will notify the public of any affected services as soon as those determinations are made.

Additional questions, concerns and resources can be found at beaumontca.org or by phone at 951-769-8520.
