On Monday, February 13, 2023, at approximately 6:35 p.m., Beaumont Police Department assisted California Highway Patrol regarding a male subject who jumped from the Beaumont Avenue overpass onto the I-10 freeway. CHP, Beaumont PD, Cal Fire and American Medical Response responded and treated the person on scene. The person suffered moderate injuries from the fall and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
