Monster Mash
Calling all ghosts and ghouls! On Saturday, October 19, the Beaumont will host the annual Monster Mash Halloween Party! The event will take place from 4pm to 8pm at the Albert A. Chatigny Sr. Community Recreation Center, located at 1310 Oak Valley Parkway. Eerie entertainment will include free games and indoor trick or treating with bouncers and food available for purchase. The highlight of the evening will be a costume contest at 6:30 pm.
Trunk or Treat
On Thursday, October 31, the City will host a Trunk or Treat from 5pm to 8:30pm at the Beaumont Sports Park, located at Brookside Avenue and Beaumont Ave. Trunk-or-treating is a twist on the tradition of door-to-door candy-collecting. Instead of collecting candy from the neighborhood, children collect candy from the trunks of vehicles parked safely in a parking lot. These events have become a safe alternative for parents who wish to keep a watchful eye on their children. This event turns the backs of mini-vans and SUVs, bed of a truck or car trunk into the new front porch.
Thanksgiving Outreach
Each year the City of Beaumont, in partnership with local businesses and Morongo Band of Mission Indians, provide Thanksgiving dinner to over 100 homebound seniors and disabled persons in the 92223 area. This annual tradition is made possible by dozens or volunteers and donations. If you know of a homebound senior or disabled person who could benefit from this program, please contact the Senior Center at (951) 769-8539 to register.
