[ARCHIVED] FIRE UPDATES

WOLF: As of 5:25 pm, all Evacuation Warnings have been lifted, the fire is at 75 acres with 50% containment. Unless there are significant chr or operations overnight, there will not be another update for the #Wolffire until tomorrow morning (10/12/19).

SANDALWOOD: Fire remains at 823 acres and is 10% contained. A total of 74 structures have been destroyed, 9 received moderate damage, and 5 with minor damage. (Source: Riv. Co. Fire). A shelter remains open at: Mesa Grande Academy located at 975 Fremont Street, Calimesa, CA 92320. City of Calimesa is providing transportation for residents from the Calimesa Senior Center to the shelter if needed. No animals were transported by County Animal Services so they have been released from the incident.

Currently the Sandalwood and Wold Fires remain Major Open Incidents with Riverside County Fire Department. For updates on these and other fires, please visit http://www.rvcfire.org for detailed reports and evacuation information. 

Noble Creek Park is being utilized as a designated fire camp location for fire personnel/equipment and is currently CLOSED to the public.

The American Red Cross and Riverside County Department of Social Services (RCDPSS) have set up an evacuation center in the gym at San Gorgonio Middle School (School is located on corner of Cherry Ave. & Cougar Way) for those who may be affected by the Wolf Fire burning between Banning and Beaumont. The Red Cross and RCDPSS are currently on standby and ready for anyone needing services. Additional updates will be provided as they become available.
