Riverside County COVID-19 Business Assistance Grant Program 

On June 2, 2020, the Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved $45 Million in grant funding to aid small businesses enduring hardships due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

                        

Businesses located within Riverside County that have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic are encouraged to apply for a $10,000 COVID-19 Small Business Grant from the County of Riverside. Businesses applying for the Grant Program must meet certain eligibility criteria. All grants are subject to underwriting and approval. Please note that due to limited funds, not all applications submitted will receive funding.

Before you start, please note:

  • The deadline to apply is Friday, June 19th, 2020 at 6:00pm
  • You can return to your application once you start it
  • Applications must be complete to be considered for funding

Application Process

Step 1. Is your Business Eligible to Apply?

To be eligible, your business must:

  1. Be an existing For-Profit business since March 1st, 2019 located within the County of Riverside
  2. Be able to demonstrate adverse business impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic
  3. Have a current business license from the City in which your business is located, or a current County of Riverside business registration
  4. Have a business bank account
  5. Be in good standing with the City your business is located in or the County of Riverside (i.e. No open code violations)
  6. The following businesses are not eligible for funding: Nonprofits, Illegal businesses, Real estate projects or passive investments, cannabis related businesses, adult entertainment businesses, or religious organizations.
  7. Also, Businesses with no employees or with more than 49 employees, or businesses which have received any CARES Act funding such as PPP or EIDL loans from the Federal Government are not eligible for the grant.

Eligible grant uses can include:

  1. Necessary equipment and operating technology
  2. Inventory and working capital including PPE
  3. Facility cleaning & restoration
  4. Rent or business mortgage payments
  5. Employee retention and support

Step 2. Upload the required documents with your application.

As part of the application process, you will be required to upload the following documents:

  1. Copy of your current City Business License or County Business Registration
  2. Copy of your Business Income Statement and Balance Sheet as of 12/31/19
  3. A list of all your employees by name and position on 3/1/2020

Step 3. Complete the following during the application process:

  1. County of Riverside Grant Agreement
  2. Safe Reopening Plan
  3. Federal Tax W9 Form with your EIN or Social Security Number
  4. ACH Form requiring your business bank account routing Information
