Beaumont, CA—Notice is hereby given that a General Municipal Election will be held in the City of Beaumont, California on Tuesday November 3, 2020 for the following offices:

Two (2) Council Member Seats currently held by:

  • Nancy Carroll
  • Julio Martinez

TO run for city office, candidates must be: 

  • A citizen of the United States,
  • 18 years of age or older, and
  • A resident and registered voter in the City of Beaumont at the time nomination papers are issued.

The period for filing of Nomination Papers is July 13, 2020, to August 7, 2020. If an incumbent does not file Nomination Papers by 12:00 p.m. on August 7, 2020, the nomination period for that office shall be extended to August 12, 2020, during which time any eligible person other than the incumbent, may take out, circulate and file Nomination Papers for that office.

Applications and virtual tutorials are available online at BeaumontCa.gov/Elections. In person appointments to submit nomination papers are also available by contacting the City Clerk’s Office. Please be advised that all current health and safety requirements will be implemented including the use of face masks and social distancing when possible during the appointment.
