The City of Beaumont, the Beaumont Police Department, as well as our counterparts at the County level are working to prepare for the upcoming storm season. The recent El Dorado and Apple Fires have created a potential for flash flooding and debris flow that can damage property and threaten life. A team of experts from state and federal agencies have also been working together to evaluate soil impacts and the potential for runoff due to these fires.

Predictions from experts have identified areas within the City of Beaumont at risk for flooding, mud and debris flows. Impacts to these areas may include flooded roadways, debris filled drainage pathways, disrupted utilities, etc.

The Riverside County Emergency Management Department (EMD), has posted a map of areas at risk with labeled evacuation zones. The map is interactive, you can type your address into the search field to see if your home or business lies within one of these zones.
