On May 26, 2021, at approximately 3:48 p.m., the Beaumont Police Department received a call from a passerby who reported witnessing a strong arm robbery. It occurred along Champions Drive, between Bay Hill and Desert Lawn Drive.
The witness reported two black males assaulting an elderly male and making off with his wallet.
Two subjects exited a newer model white Honda Civic, assaulted the victim, and took his wallet. The driver and two subjects then left the area toward Oak Valley Parkway on Desert Lawn Drive.
The two subjects seen assaulting the victim were described as black males, between 17-20 years of age, wearing black jeans, black hoodies, and black masks. The third suspect, the driver, was not seen by the witness.
Officers do not believe this was a random attack. Investigators have reason to believe the victim may have been targeted. This case is still under investigation.
