As Chief of Police for the Beaumont Police Department, I am honored to present our Annual Report for 2021. This report represents a snapshot of the accomplishments by our sworn and professional staff and volunteers. It also exemplifies our Commitment to Community; a community that can be proud to know that their police department is invested in their safety and quality of life.
2021 was a year of resilience:
The Beaumont Police Department welcomed many new police officers, public safety dispatchers and support personnel with a wealth of experience and a heart for public service. Our workforce continues to closely represent our ethnically diverse population. By leading with a community-first approach, we established meaningful connections within our community. It is through these strategic partnerships that the Beaumont Police Department can deliver the highest quality of public safety services.
Transparency is essential to positive police-community relationships. To enhance our community connection, the department launched a Citizens Academy to introduce community members to the unique services and challenges of law enforcement. On a day-to-day basis, the department maintains transparency through a robust social media presence that shares critical incidents and public safety information.
Teamwork was another cornerstone of our resilience. The department was proud to be part of several community events, these personal interactions between police officers and community members build mutual trust, which is essential to community policing which is the foundation of the Beaumont Police Department.
I want to thank all of you who have worked alongside us to keep our city safe. I am very proud of our police department and what we have accomplished, and I look forward to our continued service to all our residents.
