Sports & Activities

Beaumont is home to various facilities that offer fun recreational activities for everyone in the family. Beaumont’s 20-acre Sports Park, located at the southeast corner of Brookside and Beaumont avenues, is a thriving venue for organized sports and special events. The park features a one-mile path suitable for walking or jogging, a playground, a snack bar, a basketball court, three baseball fields and several multi-use fields.

Additional special-use recreational facilities offer opportunities for passive and active recreation. Facilities include, but are not limited to, the Albert A. Chatigny Sr. Community Recreation Center/Gymnasium and the 18 city-owed parks which offer a variety of amenities. One such park is Stewart Park, located in downtown Beaumont. The park will soon be renovated to include a concrete walking trail throughout the length of the park, picnic pavilions throughout the park, multi-generational and inclusive playground equipment with shade structures, a gaga ball court, increased parking facilities, connection of the park across Ninth and Tenth Streets, and a new bandshell with modern sound and lighting equipment. The existing skate park and basketball courts will remain in their current location and will be updated with modern equipment.
