Community Development Block Grant FY26-27
Now Accepting Applications: FY 2026–2027 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funding
The City of Beaumont is now accepting applications from eligible nonprofit organizations and government entities for a portion of the City’s anticipated FY 2026–2027 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) allocation.
The CDBG Program is federally funded and administered through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). As an Urban County within the Entitlement CDBG Program, Riverside County receives an annual allocation from HUD based on community need — including factors such as poverty level, population, housing overcrowding, age of housing, and population growth compared to other metropolitan areas.
Funding priorities were established by the Beaumont City Council through the Citizen Participation and Community Needs Assessment process for the 2024–2029 Consolidated Plan.
Projects must align with these established priorities and be capable of meeting all HUD and City program requirements.
Funding Availability
A percentage of the City’s anticipated FY 2026–2027 CDBG allocation will be available for eligible projects that serve low- and moderate-income residents within the City of Beaumont.
Applications are due no later than 5:00 p.m. (PST) on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
All activities funded with the City’s CDBG funds must:
1. Serve persons or communities within the City;
2. Be an eligible activity under CDBG regulations (24 CFR Part 570.201); and
3. Meet a National Objective of the CDBG program (24 CFR Part 570.208);
4. The City of Beaumont may award its CDBG funds to the following entities and organizations:
5. City Departments or Agencies;
6. Non-profit organizations subject to 26 U.S.C. 501 (c) (3); and
7. Governmental agencies including the County, other Cities, Special Districts, and Tribes.
