Beaumont, CA - The Beaumont City Council held a strategic planning meeting this past Saturday to begin setting priorities and goals for the 2023/2024 Fiscal Year and beyond. City Council utilized feedback from the Community Satisfaction Survey that was circulated via the city website, email blast, social media and local pop-up events to discuss the City’s vision for the future.
The planning meeting was a full day event, focused on aligning goals, priorities and determining how to budget funding over the next year and into the future.
During the meeting, City Council and City Executive Staff spent time discussing the survey results and then formulating a plan to address the areas of most concern. Some of those areas included:
- Communication/Relationships with the public, local, regional, state and federal agencies, as well as other stakeholders
- Infrastructure/Current Projects/Traffic
- Economic Development/Downtown Revitalization
- Quality of Life/Community Well-Being
Now that City Council priorities have been set, City Staff is tasked with determining strategies to meet Council's priorities and will bring back those items to a future City Council meeting. This meeting was extremely productive and our Staff look forward to continuing to work alongside City Council to put this plan into action.
